President Sisi welcomes Polish President, First Lady at Ittihadiya Palace

Polish President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda wife arrived in Egypt on Sunday, starting their three-day visit by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Cairo, announced the Polish Presidency in a statement.
 

President Andrzej Duda and his wife are scheduled to be welcomed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at 11:00 am at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo, the statement said, adding that both Presidents, afterward, would attend a ceremony of signing a number of deals, to be followed by a press conference for the two presidents.

 

Piotr Ćwik, the Polish Deputy Chief of the Chancellery of the President said that Duda’s visit aims to tackle the food crisis that emerged due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

 

TĆwik added that Poland could support Ukraine in exporting agricultural products, the statement said. Ćwik voiced his country’s support to Ukraine in exporting agricultural products.

 

The Polish Presidential Couple will also meet the Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church, Pope Tawadros II, and then Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli to open the Polish-Egyptian Economic Forum.

 

On Tuesday, the Polish Presidential Couple will meet the great Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, the statement continued.

 
It is also planned Duda will lay a wreath at the Heliopolis War Cemetery, as well as he would meet with representatives of the Polish media, the statement said.
