President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi congratulated Rishi Sunak on winning the UK Conservative Party’s elections and becoming the prime minister of Britain, the Egyptian presidency announced.
“I present my sincere congratulations to Mr. Rishi Sunak for assuming the position of the prime minister of the British government, wishing him success in his new job,” El-Sisi said in his statement.
The Egyptian president said that he is looking forward to cooperating and working with the new British PM to boost the bilateral relations between Egypt and Britain to serve their peoples' best interests and support stability, security and peace for the world.
Sunak became Britain’s third prime minister of 2022 on Tuesday, October 25.
