Cairo governorate has begun to hold several introductory seminars at the Cairo governorate and affiliated entities headquarters, as well as youth centers on the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects Initiative, launched by the Egyptian government as part of Egypt’s preparations for hosting COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh City next November under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The seminars discuss the categories targeted by the initiative, the type of the projects, the evaluation criteria, training on accessing the initiative platform, and how to enter the data.
Abdel Aal called on companies, individuals, and institutions to quickly participate in the initiative and register on the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects website from August 21 to September 7.
Moreover, Abdel Aal pointed out that the two main criteria for projects to be green according to the evaluation criteria for each category. He added that each project submitted to its relevant category according to the institution’s volume and nature of its work (non-profit and woman-related).
Abdel Aal, furthermore, said that the six categories of projects the initiative target: mega projects, medium projects, small local projects, especially those related to women and the Decent Life initiative, startups projects, development projects related to women, climate change, sustainability, and finally the non-profit social initiatives.
