Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli issued a decree stipulating that Thursday 30 June 2022 will be a fully paid day off to mark the anniversary of the 30 June Revolution.
According to a cabinet statement released on Thursday, the decision applies to workers at all ministries, government bodies, public institutions, local administrative bodies, public sector companies, public business sector companies, in addition to the private sector.
However, schools and universities exams will run as scheduled, the decree read.
The holiday marks the day in 2013
when millions of Egyptians took to the street to demand that then-President
Mohamed Morsi leave office.
