Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Wednesday the development work of the Virgin Mary Tree site in the Mataria neighborhood carried out by the Cairo governorate as part of the national project implemented by the state to develop the path of the journey of the Holy Family.
During his tour, Abdel Aal asserted that the development of the path of the Holy Family is one of the national projects the state is implementing to attract millions of tourists from all over the world since Egypt has such a unique tourist attraction. He also noted that the Virgin Mary Tree site is the most important stop on the path of the journey of the Holy.
Moreover, Abdel Aal said the development work included treating the wastewater in the Virgin Mary Tree site, upgrading the surrounding area, and painting all the buildings overlooking the site.
At the end of his tour, Abdel Aal urged to speed up the development work of the site and the adjacent park.
