President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sent on Tuesday a cable of condolences over the death of Chadian President Idriss Deby.
In the cable, Sisi said Deby was a wise and patriotic leader who served his nation and the African countries.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Chadian army announced the death of Deby after during frontline clashes with rebels.
His death came only one day after he was proclaimed the winner of a presidential election that had given him a sixth term in presidency.
