Egypt’s Minister of Health launches medical convoys to four governorates

Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced that it will launch five medical convoys to four governorates for free medical examination and treatment, the ministry announced in a statement.

 

The convoys are part of the Presidential initiative Decent Life and will provide their services on September 27-28, the statement added. The specialties are obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, otorhinolaryngology, dental medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, and cardiovascular disease besides providing family planning and radiology and analysis Services.

 

In August 2021, a major medical convoy was sent to the new city of El Alamein for irregular workers in the city and its surrounding areas.

 

The total number of villages targeted by the ‘Decent Life’ initiative is 4,600 lying across 20 governorates. Half of those is located in Upper Egypt, including Fayoum, Beni Suef, Menya, Sohag, Asyut, Luxor and Aswan. The rest are located in Delta, having Qalyubia, Damietta, Beheira, Menoufeya, Gharbia, and Sharqia.
