President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed Saturday to continue
efforts of diversifying energy resources, especially renewable and clean
energy, to meet the needs of the comprehensive national development process.
Sisi’s directives came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli
and Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi
said.
During the meeting, the president reviewed the projects of the Electricity
Ministry, topped by those in the clean and renewable energy domains, along with
the power-linkage project with neighboring countries and the control center of
the country’s national grid in the New Administrative Capital.
