Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi congratulated the United Arab Emirates on its 50th National Day, saying the UAE has introduced a model of “urbanization and technological modernization."
“I am pleased to extend congratulations, on my behalf and on behalf of Egypt’s people, to the people and leadership of the UAE on the 50th National Day,” El-Sisi said in a tweet.
“Over the past years, the UAE has introduced a unique model of development, urbanization, and technological modernization,” El-Sisi said.
In addition to congratulating the UAE, he took the opportunity to say “I affirm that our relations are witnessing further strength and solidity.”
“We will continue to enhance [these relations] in a way that achieves the interests of our two peoples and nations,” the president added.
The UAE celebrates its National Day annually on 2 December.
