Cairo Governor urges to continue crackdown on illegal occupancies

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal directed Sunday Cairo's districts chiefs to coordinate with facilities management to launch daily campaigns to remove illegal occupancies from Cairo's streets, pointing out that the state has spent billions to develop the capital's streets and buildings to restore its attractive appearance and would not allow illegal occupancies in the capital's streets.

 

Abdel Aal stressed that all executive bodied of the Cairo governorate must implement the law without any transgression or assault.

 

Abdel Aal also urged districts chiefs to communicate with the House of Representatives members as they represent citizens and cooperate with civil society organizations asserting their role in supporting the state's ongoing development projects.

 

This came during the executive meeting held in the Cairo governorate's building on Sunday, August 29th. 

 

During the meeting, the governor urged all employees to register on the Health Ministry website to receive the vaccine against coronavirus to protect themselves and their families.

 

Moreover, the governor urged the Director of the Education Directorate to finish vaccinating workers and education staff at schools ahead of the new academic year, stressing the importance of launching awareness campaigns about the preventive measures taken to protect the students.

 

The governor also thanked those responsible for the demolition of informal settlements in Cairo, noting that they have already demolished Ezbet Al-Matar informal settlement in El-Nozha district, and work is underway in Ezbet Abu Qarn informal settlement in Misr Al-Qadima district.
