Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected development
work in the El-Gezira Al-Wosta area on Salah Salem Street, including increasing
green spaces and landscaping as well as upgrading street lighting from Al-Matar
Bridge to Abbasia Square.
Moreover, Abdel Aal ordered to quickly finish
the development work given that this area is the first place the tourists see
when arriving in Egypt. He also instructed to increase green spaces and tree
planting around the iconic statue standing in the center of El-Gezira Al-Wosta area.
On the other hand, the Head of Cairo's Cleaning and Beautification Authority Ihab El-Shershabi pointed out that the ongoing development work is a collaborative effort between the authority and civil society institutions.
At the end of his tour, Abdel Aal made a sudden inspection tour
of Al-Sayeda Aisha bus stations to follow up the implementation of anti-Covid-19
precautionary measures, including wearing face masks on public transportation
to ensure citizens safety.
The governor also urged citizens to adhere to the preventive and
precautionary measures to help overcome the current crisis.
