Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal held a meeting with Erteqaa for integrated services and waste recycling and Enviro Master for Environmental services and waste recycling on Thursday.
During the meeting, the governor emphasized that the Cairo governorate would provide complete support and assistance for the new waste management companies, stressing the importance that the citizens feel the difference in cleanliness level, whether on the streets or in housing complexes.
Abdel Aal also asserted that the new waste management system received full attention and support from the political leadership and the Prime Minister to enable the Cairo governorate to fulfill its role as the capital of Egypt, stressing the governorate and Cairo Cleaning and Beatification Authority's support for the companies' efforts because we are all partners in serving Egyptian citizens.
Moreover, the governor stressed the importance of the cooperation and coordination between the governorate and the companies to achieve immediate results to satisfy citizens with this new important service and make them feel the major achievement in the waste management issue.
The governor also directed to provide garbage cans in front of all shops, remove garbage from all main streets and squares across Cairo, sweep the streets, and remove construction debris to restore the streets' beauty.
For his part, Chairman of Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority Ehab El-Shershaby reviewed the executive procedures of the contracts between the authority and the two waste management companies that will start working in Cairo's west and east areas early next month.
