Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal asserted that the governorate is about to finish the development work of the Child Park located in Nasr City suburb to serve as a new green lung in the heart of the capital after years of neglect.

Abdel Aal pointed out that the governorate spares no effort to increase green spaces and landscaping in the city as well as renovating existed parks as it contributes to the improvement of the environment in the capital and adds an aesthetic appearance to it.

The governor added that the ongoing development work of the Child Park includes installing a new irrigation system, replacing curbstones, redeveloping the park's internal walkway, paving the roads.

During his tour, the governor praised the efforts exerted by the workers of Cairo's Cleaning and Beautification Authority to revive the park, adding that the park was replanned to provide integrated services to visitors including restaurants, cafeterias, play areas, and walkways.
