Cairo Governor heads facilitation committee of historic Cairo development project

The facilitation committee of the Historic Cairo development project held a meeting on Sunday chaired by Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal to follow up on the actions taken by the state to renovate the area, following the instructions of the political leadership to revive and develop it to preserve and restore its architectural heritage and features.

 

The meeting discussed the executive plans, the timetable of the development project, and the coordination process between all the concerning authorities to take the necessary actions to overcome any obstacles. 

 

The governor emphasized that the general vision of the project is based on improving and preserving the social and economic activity of the urban fabric and creating a new tourist destination in Cairo to restore its old glory and position.

 

The development project includes Al-Hakim Mosque area, Al-Tama'een alley, Al-Labana alley, and Um Al-Gholam area.
