Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal honored the families of the martyrs and the injured of the military operations at the celebration held by the Cairo governorate marking Martyr Day as he granted four families commemorative plaques engraved with their sons' names as a tribute to their heroism and sacrifice.
Moreover, the governor said that naming
schools after martyrs is a great pride and that Cairo would never forget its
martyrs and would always stand by their families.
Abdel Aal added that the Cairo governorate
would put plaques engraved with a brief on the martyr's life and sacrifice inside
each school bearing the name of a martyr as well as a large picture of him to
be a model for the future generation.
During the celebration, the governor honored
Major General Basem Ezzat, the Manager of the veterans and war Victims Association.
He also honored the Popular and Military Defense Forces, the Armed Forces
Morale Affairs Department, and the Military Police.
Major General Basem Ezzat also granted Cairo
governor and Deputy Director of Cairo Security honorary shields.
On the other hand, El-Sheikh Mahmoud El-Hawary, one of Al-Azhar senior scholars, said during his speech at the celebration that martyrs made great sacrifices for their country.
Moreover, Anba Youlious, General Bishop of
Masr El-Qadima Churches, added that martyrs are honest in life and even in
death and
from this honesty comes bravery and sacrifice. Anba Youlious also greeted every mother who taught her martyr
son honesty and bravery, every school taught its students patriotism and the
Egyptian Armed Forces for its courage and noble values.
