Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal visited the Al-Baqiyat Al-Salihat Complex for elderly people and Alzheimer's patients at the Al-Mokattam area on International Day of Older Persons celebrated on October 1 every year.
Abdel Aal expressed his happiness to visit this charitable edifice established to take care of senior citizens and Alzheimer patients.
Abdel Aal also thanked those responsible for supporting and sponsoring the place built by Dr. Abla El-Khalawy and currently running by her daughter Dr. Marwa Yasin.
Moreover, Abdel Aal asserted full support and assistance to the complex seeking to finish the Alzheimer's Hospital after getting all the necessary medical equipment through donations and support from civil society organizations.
The Al-Baqiyat Al-Salihat Complex was established to provide comprehensive health care to Alzheimer's patients.
Abdel Aal further said that celebrating International Day of Older Persons is a thank you message for their constant care and love, asserting that all divine religions urge us to respect and care for older people. He also called on private and civil society organizations to cooperate with government institutions for the welfare and health of older persons.
