Moderately hot, dusty weather across Egypt for Monday

Meteorologists predict moderately hot weather on Monday for Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, with warm weather on the northern coasts and hot temperatures on southern Upper Egypt during the daytime.

 

The weather will grow cold across most parts of the country by night, and very cold on Upper Egypt. Light rainfall (expected at 30 percent) expected on some parts of the country: Alexandria, Matrouh, al-Salloum.

 

Winds will be northwestern and moderate, active and blowing up sand and dust on parts of Greater Cairo, Suez Canal region, northern Upper Egypt, and northern coasts. Active winds will disrupt maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez.

 

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height, with southwestern to northwestern surface winds. Waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between one and 1.5 meters in height, with southeastern surface winds.

Cairo: 26C, Alexandria: 25C, Qena, Luxor and Aswan: 29C
