Executive Director of the General Authority for Investment
(GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Chairman of Fiber Misr for Communications and
Information Technology (Benya Capital) Ahmed Mekky discussed on Sunday means of
implementing an extended plan in the upcoming period that aims at developing
technological infrastructure of networks and communications in Egypt and
Africa.
They also reviewed a number of vital projects including establishing the
largest factory for manufacturing optical fiber cables in Egypt, Africa and the
Arab world, with investments exceeding LE 1 billion at the Suez Canal Economic
Zone.
The head of Benya Capital, a telecom and technology solutions provider,
asserted that his company is keen on introducing the latest production
technologies and the highest quality standards to the Egyptian industry, noting
that his company is cooperating with a number of governmental authorities to
implement the government’s digital transformation.
