Finance Minister Mohamed Mait has unveiled new measures by
which holders of ration cards could benefit from a presidential initiative
meant to stimulate consumption.
The initiative also aims to lift the burden on low-income citizens, who are
given an additional 10% discount on all consumer goods offered for sale within
the initiative, Ma'it said in a statement Wednesday.
It should encourage all economic segments to purchase locally-made durable and
non-durable consumer goods for a period of three months starting in August, he
noted.
