Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli followed up the ongoing
efforts to secure coronavirus medicine in July.
The cabinet's secretariat for medical affairs reports to the premier on the
efforts being exerted to secure medicine of the coronavirus treatment protocol.
The Prime Minister affirmed that he periodically reviews the
efforts made to provide the required medicines within the protocols set by the
Ministry of Health to confront the Coronavirus with the competent authorities
to ensure that citizens' need of these medicines is met, for his part, the
cabinet's medical counselor, Hossam Masri, said the secretariat is following up
and coordinating efforts with Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority Tamer
Essam.
Masri asserted that local market needs of coronavirus medicine are secured and
there is no need for hoarding medicine, head of Anti-Coronavirus scientific
committee Hossam Hosni said that a second wave of increase in number of
infections is expected during coming winter season.
Hosni assured that the virus still exists in the country, and worldwide, even if the figures recorded remarkable decline.
