Planning Minister Hala el Saeed reviewed the implementation
of initiative 'Ma Yeghlash Aleik' (not expensive for you) to stimulate
consumption and encourage demand for local products.
The initiative is the outcome of integrated efforts among the Central Bank of
Egypt, Nasser Social Bank, the Federation of Industries and the Federation of
Chambers of Commerce in addition to E-Finance.
Incentivizing consumption of local products plays a pivotal role in creating
jobs and boosting production, he said.
During the meeting, Planning minister's economic advisor Nada Masoud said the
talks tackled the challenges besetting the initiative's implementation.
The conferees underlined the importance of media campaigns for the initiative
to attain its goal.
