A Jordanian, Egyptian, and Iraqi tripartite ministerial
meeting began held on Sunday, to implement the outcomes of the tripartite
summit that was held in Amman last August between Egyptian President Abdel
Fattah El Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa
Al-Kazemi, Ammon news agency reported.
The meeting was held by Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Jamae, Jordanian counterpart Tariq Al-Hammouri, and the Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Al-Khabaz.
Late August, the three leaders agreed on establishing a new ground road to Egypt through the Jordanian territories. It was also agreed on creating an electricity linkage and an oil pipeline to enhance the tripartite cooperation.
The first trilateral summits were held in Cairo in March 2019, while the second one convened in New York in September of the same year, on the sidelines of the current United Nations General Assembly meetings.
