Egypt's Meteorological Authority
(EMA) has forecast a six-day wave of unstable weather starting Tuesday, with a
drop in temperatures ranging from 4 to 5 degrees Celsius as of Thursday.
Mild to moderate rainfall is expected in Greater Cairo on Wednesday, while the next five days will witness moderate to heavy rainfall, according to the data released by the EMA on Sunday.
Moderate rainfall is expected in the coastal cities of El-Salloum, Siwa, Matrouh and El-Dabaa, and mild rainfall in Alexandria on Tuesday.
Some areas along the northern coast – El-Salloum, Siwa, Matrouh, El-Dabaa, and Alexandria – and Lower Egypt – Beheira and Kafr El-Sheikh governorates – will witness on Wednesday moderate to heavy rains, while the rest of the Delta governorates will witness moderate rains on the same day.
From Thursday to Sunday, some areas on the northern coast, Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities, and the eastern coast will see moderate to heavy rains.
As of Tuesday, Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta region will see highs ranging between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius and lows of 19 to 20 degrees.
The northwestern coast of Egypt will see highs ranging between 23 and 28 degrees and lows from 19 to 20 degrees.
Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 38 to 23 throughout the six days with lows ranging from 19 to 20 degrees, while Southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 30 to 37 degrees and lows of 25 to 32 degrees.
