The Egyptian higher committee for novel coronavirus
(Covid-19) crisis management agreed to open 320 hospitals for coronavirus
patients amid the increasing infection rate, according to Mohamed Awad
Tajuddin, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention
Affairs on Monday.
In a symposium held at the Fayoum University, Tajuddin added that the hospitals would be allocated and equipped as soon as possible to solve problems of overcrowding of patients in the state’s chest and fever hospitals.
Meanwhile, Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar stated in a virtual meeting with his Iraqi counterpart on Sunday that all Egyptian educational hospitals are ready and on high alert to receive coronavirus cases. He added all the hospitals were provided with PPE and medicine needed.
