Egyptian health ministry reported 611 new coronavirus cases
on Saturday, bringing the total infection tally to 124,891 since the outbreak
began in February.
In its daily statement, the health ministry also reported 28 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 7,069.
The statement said that 324 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 106,481.
The country has been recently witnessing a rebound in coronavirus daily cases. According to the health ministry's count, Cairo, Alexandria, Gharbiya, and Luxor are seeing the highest rates of coronavirus infections in the country, compared to South Sinai, Minya, Suez, and Ismailia governorates, which have seen a drop in infection rates.
