President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has
ordered supporting efforts aimed at boosting Egypt's industrial sector as a
strategic approach adopted by the state, especially in the construction field.
The president gave the order on Tuesday15/12/2020 at a meeting with Prime
Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Presidential Adviser for National and Strategic
Projects Sherif Ismail, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Trade Minister
Nevin Gamea, and Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla.
According to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady, the meeting tackled mechanisms
to deal with challenges facing some industries, particularly the building
materials, to open the door for them to be exported abroad.
The meeting also touched on ways of making use of Egypt's competitive
advantages at the local and regional levels and the availability of
high-quality natural raw materials.
