The Ministry of Finance approved Tuesday extending the
deadlines for submitting real estate tax declarations by owners of newly built
units until the end of March 2021.
Owners of buildings constructed between July and December had to submit the declarations by the end of this month at the real estate tax offices in their respective neighborhoods.
Chairman of the Real Estate Tax Authority Anwar Fawzy stated that the declarations also include floors and units added to existing buildings as well as the change of the use of the unit as that subsequently changes its selling and renting values.
