Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal held the first meeting with the new Senate's members on Sunday. He asserted that Egypt's Senate election is a big step towards the process of democracy in Egypt, and it enriches the parliamentary experience as well as consolidating democracy and ensuring public rights and freedoms.
Moreover, Abdel Aal assured that the Senate is capable of fulfilling the people's aspirations and needs in all fields. He added that the Cairo governorate is fully prepared to provide all kinds of support to the new Senate to keep up the good work and accomplish its goals.
On the other hand, the new Senate's members praised the governorate's initiative to meet with them and the decisions it takes to serve Cairo's citizens, especially the reduction of the value of reconciliation on building violations.
