Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal cast his vote in the 2nd phase of parliament election 2020 at El-Maahed El-Azhry School polling station in Masr El-Gadidah.
The governor asserted that the operations room held by the Cairo governorate to coordinate with all relevant authorities is following up on the voting process and monitoring all 630 polling stations in Cairo.
Abdel Aal also stressed the importance of participating in the elections as a civic duty as well as sending a message to the world that Egypt is on a steady path towards progress in all fields.
Moreover, the governor urged citizens to participate and exercise their constitutional right assuring that citizens' participation has a positive role in the state's democratic process.
He also assured that all precautionary measures against COVID-19 are applied at all polling stations, including social distancing and wearing face masks, as well as providing spaces for wheelchairs.
