Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal asserted in his speech during the inauguration of the national project Asmarat 3 that over the past six years since 2014 till today, Cairo governorate has established 2272 projects worth 279.3 billion pounds in all fields.
During his speech, the governor noted that the governorate implemented 1641 projects worth 277.9 billion pounds, and there are other 631 ongoing projects worth 51.4 billion pounds.
He added that in the health sector, 183 projects worth 1.47 billion were implemented, and 232 projects worth 2.3 billion in the education sector, as well as 37 housing and upgrading slums projects worth 17.6 billion and 377 road and transport projects at cost of 32.3 billion pounds. Besides, delivering natural gas to 840k households as part of 175 projects worth 5.5 billion pounds and implementing 28 electricity projects at cost of 16.9 billion pounds.
