Education Minister Tarek Shawky asserted that there is no
need to worry about the spread of coronavirus among the students and teachers,
adding that preventive measures are precisely applied in the Egyptian schools.
On his Facebook account, Monday, Shawky said the decision to close a class in a school is a preventive one in order to protect the other students and teachers, he added that the decision to suspend schools is a sovereign decision that will be taken by the state.
The parents have the freedom to choose between whether their children be regular students or study-at-home students, he said, this year the state provides different sources of education, he added.
