Cairo schools prepare to receive students for the new school year

About 5459 schools in Cairo received 2386831 students for the new academic year 2020/2021 began on Saturday, October 17th, 2020.

 

For his part, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal stressed the necessity to create a proper healthy environment for students and to follow all the precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students asserting that it is necessary to have a nurse at each school to check on students continuously.

 

Moreover, the governor urged schools to raise the awareness of students of the importance of personal hygiene through the school seminars, debates, hygiene camps, and signs to avoid infection.

 

The governor also instructed the Director of Education Directorate Cairo's district chiefs, and the Cleaning Authority to remove all occupancies and street vendors and to clean and disinfect the school classes and toilets as well as the water tanks to ensure the safety and comfort of both students and teachers. 

 

Abdel Aal directed Director of Education Directorate Mohammad Attia to ensure the availability of safety and security factors in schools across Cairo including fire hydrants and necessary water connections.
