President Abdel Fattah El Sisi urged intensifying efforts to complete the
establishment of the diplomatic district of the New Administrative Capital, as
he met with head of the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority.
The diplomatic district is set to host foreign embassies and headquarters of the regional and international organizations in Egypt.
In Monday’s meeting, Sisi urged ensuring the diplomatic district provides all services and social activities for its inhabitants and those visiting it, in accordance with the highest standards.
During the meeting, the president also reviewed the executive status of a number of national projects the Engineering Authority is executing nationwide, especially road networks and axes, as well as projects in the new capital.
President’s advisor for urban planning Amir Ahmed also attended the meeting, along with other officials.
