Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Areas Assem al-Gazar told press Saturday that citizens will be able to reserve social housing units starting November 9 until December 7, the number of units offered is 125,000 and they are located in 14 new cities.
Citizens who wish to get units have to first purchase application forms from any nearby post office. Then, pay a deposit worth LE125,000. The units will be delivered within 36 months, and are finished.
Reservation for the disabled began November 1 and will conclude on November 8. Until present, 20,000 applications forms have been dispensed from post offices.
The minister stated that the state subsidizes each unit with a sum ranging between LE210,000 and LE280,000 for low-income citizens and LE190,000-LE250,000 for middle-income countries. The subsidized amount consists of the cost of utilities introduction, and the land price among others.
