Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el Saeed
said on Wednesday 11/11/2020 that 5,000 youths have so far applied for the
"Be an Ambassador" initiative that aims at building capabilities of
young people in the field of comprehensive development.
"The deadline for receiving applications is this coming Saturday"
Saeed said in a press release issued by the ministry, calling on youths to take
part in the initiative.
She added that the initiative focuses on honing skills of
youths in the area of comprehensive and equitable sustainable development with
the aim of improving the living standards of citizens.
About 500 male and female applicants will be chosen to undertake the training
course for free in the first phase, the minister said.
After finishing the course, each trainee will get a certificate issued by the
National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), she
noted.
