Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, inaugurated the “Schools and Egyptian Household Supplies” Exhibition on Ahmed Badawy Street in the Shubra district. The exhibition was organized by the Future of the Nation Party in cooperation with Cairo Governorate, as part of the governorate’s preparations for the new academic year and its efforts to provide citizens and students with their essential needs at discounted prices, helping ease the economic burden on families.
The opening was attended by Major General Omar Mahmoud El-Shafei, Deputy Governor of Cairo for the Northern District, along with a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as senior officials from the governorate.
During his tour of the exhibition, the Cairo Governor monitored sales activity and the availability of various products. He also reviewed the exhibition’s sections and the school supplies and materials on display, stressing the importance of offering products of suitable quality at prices lower than those of similar products in the markets.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber noted that the governorate is continuing to implement a plan to expand the establishment of exhibitions and outlets offering essential commodities and household needs at reasonable prices, particularly in densely populated neighborhoods and areas, in order to ensure that the largest possible number of families benefit.
The Cairo Governor stressed the importance of maintaining continuous oversight of the exhibition throughout its operation, reviewing the advertised prices and ensuring compliance with them, as well as monitoring the quality and variety of the products. This is intended to ensure that such exhibitions achieve their objective of meeting families’ needs as the start of the new academic year approaches.
The Cairo Governor explained that cooperation between the governorate’s authorities, civil society organizations, and members of the House of Representatives and the Senate represents a model of effective community participation. Such cooperation contributes to supporting citizens and meeting their needs, in line with the state’s approach to improving the level of services provided to citizens.
