Applications open for 11th Egypt–Spain Technology Cooperation Program call

The Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority, in cooperation with the Spanish Centre for Industrial Technology Development, announced that applications are now open for 11th call of the Egypt–Spain Technology Cooperation Program. The program aims to strengthen the link between scientific research and industry, encourage Egyptian researchers to apply their studies and research outputs in industrial contexts, and contribute to innovative solutions for industrial challenges while enhancing technological cooperation between both sides in the fields of technology development, innovation, and technology transfer.

The program represents an important opportunity to boost collaboration between researchers and the industrial sector in Egypt and Spain, turning ideas and research outputs into technological applications and solutions with economic impact. The Authority stressed its commitment to supporting projects that connect scientific research with industry needs and enhance competitiveness.

The call targets joint projects in several priority fields, including agriculture, water resources management, health, construction, renewable energy, environment, as well as strategic industries, transport, tourism, and antiquities.

Application requirements:  
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree, be affiliated with an Egyptian research institution, and apply in cooperation with an Egyptian partner from companies or industrial entities, along with a Spanish industrial partner.
Accepted projects will receive funding of up to €150,000 for the Egyptian side.

The authority invites researchers and industrial entities interested in participating to review the detailed guidelines and conditions of the call and submit research proposals no later than December 3, 2026, through the official website of the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority.
