The Egyptian Company for Metro and Monorail Management and Operation announced that students can now download subscription forms electronically for the three metro lines, the Monorail, and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) before visiting subscription offices. The move aims to simplify procedures and reduce waiting times. The company outlined the steps for preparing the form:
Download and print the student subscription form.
Provide two recent photographs.
Have the form approved by the student’s educational institution:
University students: The form must be approved by the university or educational institution.
School students: The form must be approved by the school and the relevant educational administration.
The educational institution’s code must be written on the form, which must also bear a clear and legible official stamp.
After completing the form, it should be submitted to the nearest subscription office along with the following documents:
Proof of residence:Students aged 16 or older must provide a copy of a valid national ID card showing the occupation as “Student” and the student’s residential address. Students under 16 must provide a computerized birth certificate and a copy of the parent or guardian’s national ID card showing the residential address.
If the application uses an address different from the one on the national ID card, a registered contract or an unregistered rental agreement must be provided, along with a recent utility bill (water, electricity, or gas) showing the new address.
Proof of enrollment:
Applicants must provide one of the following:
A copy of a current or previous academic-year college or institute ID.
A nomination letter.
A copy of the current year’s tuition payment receipt.
A tuition payment receipt issued through Fawry, not an electronic receipt.
The document must show the university name, student’s name, college name, and academic year. If the student does not have a current college ID, an official statement from the educational institution confirming the student’s enrollment may be submitted. It is worth noting that the subscription is issued only for travel between the student’s place of residence and place of study, based on the information provided in the application form and supporting documents.
