Cairo Governor Inspects “Art Street” Activities to Monitor Artistic and Cultural Events.

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, inspected the activities of “Art Street” held in Downtown Cairo to monitor the regularity of the artistic and cultural events and ensure the availability of the necessary services for visitors and citizens. He was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Anwar El-Adl, Deputy Governor for the Western District, and Dr. Nabila Hassan, President of the Academy of Arts.

Dr. Ibrahim Saber affirmed that “Art Street” represents one of Egypt’s soft power initiatives, aimed at revitalizing cultural and artistic activities and highlighting Cairo’s rich historical and heritage assets. He stressed the importance of organizing such events in open spaces, allowing citizens to enjoy artistic and cultural activities in a safe and well-organized environment.

The Governor of Cairo praised the role of the Academy of Arts in organizing the events and ensuring their diversity in order to attract the largest possible number of citizens, as well as Arab and foreign visitors.

During his tour, the Governor of Cairo followed up on the various activities and ensured that all necessary measures were in place to provide comfort for citizens and visitors and facilitate their movement within the event area on Al-Sharifin Street. This contributes to ensuring that the events are presented in a manner befitting Cairo Governorate and its cultural and heritage significance. The Governor also monitored the level of organization and the field presence of the executive authorities, as well as efforts to maintain cleanliness and the civilized appearance of the area throughout the events.
