The National Council for Women (NCW) has launched a comprehensive nationwide awareness campaign within the framework of its “Together, with Awareness, We Protect Her” initiative, which was launched by the Council under the patronage of First Lady Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi. The campaign will be launched nationwide.
President of the NCW Counselor Amal Ammar said that the campaign reflects the Council's belief that awareness is a fundamental pillar for protecting the family, maintaining societal stability, and enhancing citizens' capacity to address challenges. She added that the campaign seeks to move awareness from words to action and from knowledge into responsibility put into practice.
The campaign features an integrated package of awareness activities and messages, including a nationwide door-to-door campaign across governorates, a radio awareness campaign, and awareness sessions for male and female students at several universities. These steps aim to ensure direct engagement with various segments of society and foster dialogue on issues that directly affect citizens' lives.
The door-to-door campaign is designed to reach women and families in villages and local communities through the council's women outreach workers, helping disseminate awareness messages and strengthen direct communication with women and families across the country. Ahead of the launch of the field campaign, training sessions will be organized for heads of the Council's governorate branches to familiarize them with the campaign's messages and implementation mechanisms, followed by training for outreach workers in all 27 governorates.
The media campaign will include 30 radio awareness messages, voiced by journalist and writer Nashwa El-Houfy, a member of the council. The messages will address a range of issues aimed at enhancing public awareness, promoting positive values, and supporting the stability of the Egyptian family and social cohesion.
As part of its efforts to engage young people and strengthen their awareness of societal issues, the campaign will also organize awareness sessions at universities across various governorates. This reflects the importance of empowering youth as key partners in protecting society, promoting the values of responsibility and belonging, and confronting ideas and practices that threaten family and community stability.
Furthermore, the campaign addresses several key issues, including countering rumors and misinformation, raising awareness of digital security and privacy protection, strengthening national identity and belonging, supporting family cohesion, combating violence, and promoting positive parenting practices and respect for older persons. It also highlights the risks associated with drug abuse, online gambling, and irregular migration. It further promotes road safety awareness, water conservation, food waste reduction, support for locally made products, and the values of work, productivity, discipline, and social responsibility.
