EMA: Hot Weather During Day, Cool at Night, Cairo’s High 30°C

Experts at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority expect warm to hot weather today, Tuesday, October 27, across northern Egypt up to Greater Cairo, and hot weather in southern Egypt. Cool to cold conditions are expected at night across most parts of the country.

Morning mist is expected on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, extending through Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. The mist may be dense at times on certain roads.

There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of Sinai, the Red Sea Governorate, and the Gulf of Aqaba. Rainfall may become heavy in some areas, potentially causing flash floods in Halayeb, Shalateen, Marsa Alam, the Gulf of Aqaba, central Sinai, and parts of the southern Eastern Desert.

Light rainfall is also expected along parts of the northern coast, northern Lower Egypt, and southern Upper Egypt. Rain may become moderate and occasionally thundery in some areas, particularly the Matrouh Desert, at intermittent intervals.

Winds are expected to become active in parts of the northwestern coast, the Western Desert, exposed areas of Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt. These winds may stir up sand and dust intermittently.

In Cairo, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C.
