Banks operating in Egypt’s banking sector continue to offer a range of free banking services and products to mark Global Financial Inclusion Week and World Savings Day. The initiative began last Thursday and will continue until October 31, 2026, under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt.
Key free services and products offered by banks:
- Account Opening: Free bank account opening with no account-opening fees and no minimum balance requirement.
- Bank Cards: Issuance of prepaid cards and debit cards, subject to each bank’s terms and conditions.
- Digital Services: Free enrollment in internet banking and mobile banking services.
- Electronic Wallets: Free issuance of electronic wallets for customers.
- Financial Literacy: Organizing seminars and awareness activities to promote financial literacy and highlight the importance of saving.
