The Meteorological Authority expects hot weather today, along the northern coast, and warm to hot weather in Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, northern Upper Egypt, and South Sinai. Extremely hot weather is expected in southern Upper Egypt, while temperatures will be moderate during the early part of the night and slightly cool toward dawn.
Meteorologists expect morning mist on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, extending to Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. The mist may be dense at times on some roads.
There is also a chance of light rain, occasionally moderate and accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of central and southern Upper Egypt. Rainfall may intensify and cause flash floods in parts of central and southern Sinai, the Gulf of Aqaba, and areas of the Red Sea Governorate at intervals. Light rain is also possible along parts of the northern coast and in the northern Nile Delta, potentially becoming moderate in some areas. Additionally, there is a very low chance (approximately 10%) of light rain in parts of the southern Nile Delta and the Canal Cities, possibly extending to Greater Cairo intermittently.
Cairo is expected to record a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C today.
