National Library launches ‘People of Determination Who Know No Impossible – Together We Create Life’

The General Authority of the National Library and Archives, led by Professor Osama Talaat, announces the launch of a symposium titled “People of Determination Who Know No Impossible: Together We Create Life,” in conjunction with the celebration of the International Day of Deafblindness.

The event is organized by the Central Administration of the National Library under the leadership of Professor Mina Ramzi and will be moderated by Hanan Nour, Director of the United Nations Hall. It will take place today, Monday, June 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ali Mubarak Hall.

The symposium will feature a distinguished group of academics and experts focused on accessibility and inclusion for people of determination. Among the panel participants are Dr. Rodina Yassin, Consultant in Human and Life Relations; Counselor Farouk Shahin, Head of a Center for Challenges for People of Determination and the Blind; and Dr. Magda Fahmy, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of an institution for individuals with deafblindness.

Through the working papers and discussions presented by the speakers, the symposium aims to exchange visions and experiences regarding mechanisms for comprehensive inclusion while highlighting the developmental success stories of institutions supporting individuals with dual disabilities. It further emphasizes the vital role of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and the National Library and Archives in providing access to knowledge and enhancing cultural services for the blind, the deaf, and the mute, thereby ensuring the integration of their constructive energies into society.
