EMA: Extremely hot humid weather by day, with active winds, Cairo’s high reaches 36°C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts moderately warm, humid conditions in the early morning, becoming very hot and humid across most regions during the day. At night, the weather will remain warm and humid, with higher humidity making the temperature feel about one to three degrees Celsius hotter.

In its bulletin, the EMA said that Greater Cairo will experience morning fog and active winds, which are expected to noticeably affect the weather and daily movement of residents.

The authority’s statement predicted the formation of morning fog during the early hours over areas in the north of the country, extending to Greater Cairo. At times, it may become dense, especially along agricultural roads, highways, and areas near water bodies, as a result of rising humidity levels in the atmosphere.

This phenomenon leads to a decrease in horizontal visibility, posing a challenge for drivers and requiring caution while driving, especially between 4:00 and 8:00 in the morning.

At the same time, winds become active intermittently in areas of Greater Cairo, and may extend to South Sinai, the Red Sea Governorate, and southern Upper Egypt.

Wind speeds range between 30 and 35 km/h, which sometimes helps to relatively moderate the atmosphere, despite the persistence of hot and humid weather during the daytime. These winds may also stir up dust in some exposed areas, but they remain within normal levels.

Meteorologists predict that Cairo will see highs of 36°C and lows of 25°C.
