Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber met with Dr. Iman Karim, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the Council and the Cairo Governorate in serving persons with disabilities and providing them with the necessary services.
During the meeting, Governor Saber affirmed the governorate’s commitment to implementing the directives of the political leadership concerning the integration and empowerment of persons with disabilities in all aspects of life. He also emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment that ensures they fully receive their rights and achieve active participation in society.
Saber also stated that the governorate places great importance on providing suitable services and facilities for people of determination and expanding the implementation of accessibility standards within government establishments, which helps facilitate their access to various services.
The meeting featured discussions on several proposals and mechanisms to activate cooperation between the two parties in the upcoming period, aiming to maximize benefits for persons with disabilities and improve the services provided to them throughout Cairo Governorate.
