Cairo Gov. heads leadership committee to appoint officials for five new general departments

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber chaired the Supreme Leadership Committee to conduct personal interviews with candidates applying for the positions of Directors General of the General Departments of Operation and Maintenance of Al-Azhar Tunnels, Diverse Cooperatives, Monitoring Cleaning Works, Councils and Conferences, and Legal Affairs and Investigations. The interviews aim to select the most competent and suitable candidates to fulfill the required duties in accordance with the law and the announced criteria.

Saber emphasized the Cairo Governorate's ongoing commitment to developing qualified personnel and empowering women in various leadership roles. This effort aligns with the directives of the political leadership to reform the governmental and administrative work systems and to introduce new talent to achieve sustainable development and fulfill Egypt’s Vision 2030. He highlighted the goal of making a significant leap in the quality of services provided to citizens, in line with the Egyptian state's strategy to enhance performance standards within its administrative apparatus.

Moreover, Saber stated that the committee conducted personal interviews with 65 applicants for the positions. During these interviews, the candidates' documents were reviewed, and the applicants were compared to select the best candidates with full transparency. The interviews also included discussions about the applicants' proposals for developing the work system, as well as assessments of their communication skills, personal traits, problem-solving abilities, crisis management, and capacity to make prompt and appropriate decisions.
