Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber conducted a field inspection tour to evaluate the development and efficiency enhancement works at Lemon Bridge and surrounding areas. The tour also aimed to check discipline in the neighborhood and review the progress of projects intended to maintain the district’s orderly and attractive appearance.
During the tour, Governor Saber instructed executive bodies to conduct intensive inspection campaigns to prevent the return of encroachments and street vendors and to take immediate action against any violations. He affirmed that the governorate is continuing its efforts to restore order in the area, improve traffic flow, and provide a safe environment for citizens to move freely.
Moreover, Saber stated that the restoration and upgrading of the historic Lemon Bridge are being carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities to preserve it as one of the landmarks of Khedivial Cairo. These efforts also aim to provide safe sidewalks for pedestrians and enhance the overall appearance of the bridge and its surroundings.
Saber further affirmed that the governorate continues to implement its comprehensive plan to develop Ramses Square and its surroundings, contributing to the restoration of the capital’s urban image, improving traffic flow, and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens.
