The national football team held its first training session in Canada today, in preparation for facing the New Zealand national team in the 2026 World Cup.
The Egyptian national team is preparing to face its New Zealand counterpart at dawn next Monday, in the second round of Group 7 of the World Cup.
The national team performed its training today at Killarney Park Stadium in Vancouver, Canada, after the team arrived in Canada on Friday evening from Spokane, USA.
All 26 players participated in the Egyptian national team training, in preparation for the upcoming match against New Zealand.
The training session was attended by Ahmed Hafez, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Canada, who was received by Hany Abu Rida, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association and Supervisor of the First Team, and Khaled El-Drandali, Vice President of the Football Association and Head of the Egyptian National Team Mission.
The Egyptian national team began its World Cup campaign by achieving a valuable draw with the Belgium national team with a score of 1-1.
