The Ministry of Labor urges all citizens seeking employment abroad to strictly adhere to the official accredited channels for obtaining job opportunities. It affirms that it is the sole official authority responsible for fully supervising the organization of the national labor movement abroad, as well as implementing bilateral labor agreements and memoranda of understanding signed with brotherly and friendly countries.
The Ministry stated that it directly supervises all stages of labor selection in coordination with counterpart government agencies in the receiving countries. This process is conducted within the framework of the state’s strategy, which aims to provide safe, sustainable, and legitimate job opportunities that protect the rights of national workers while ensuring transparency and equal opportunities for all applicants.
In this regard, the ministry stressed the importance of not being misled by the deceptive practices of individuals, pages, or unlicensed companies that exploit young people’s aspirations to work abroad by posting fake advertisements demanding money in exchange for finishing employment or travel procedures.
Moreover, the ministry urged citizens to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Avoid engaging with intermediaries, unaccredited recruitment agencies, or unofficial social media platforms that claim to be affiliated with overseas job opportunities or the implementation of international labor agreements established by the Ministry and its counterparts in other labor ministries—including the seasonal labor agreement in the agricultural sector signed with the Hellenic Republic (Greece). This guideline is intended to help you avoid falling victim to fraud and deception.
2. It is emphasized that applications for all overseas job opportunities must be submitted directly through the official Ministry of Labor website. The published announcements provide comprehensive details about the required professions, conditions, criteria, and application procedures for the advertised positions.
3- It is emphasized that all job opportunities provided by the Ministry are completely free of charge, and no fees are collected for applications. Additionally, the Ministry does not work with any intermediaries in this process.
4. For those wishing to inquire about or verify the reliability of any overseas job opportunity, you may visit the former headquarters of the Ministry of Labor (General Directorate of Employment – 3 Youssef Abbas Street – Nasr City – Cairo) or the labor directorates in the governorates to obtain accurate information and proper guidance.
Furthermore, for those wishing to verify the licensing of any overseas recruitment company, citizens are advised to visit the General Directorate of Overseas Recruitment Companies located at the former headquarters of the Ministry in Nasr City.
The Ministry of Labor reaffirms its full commitment to protecting the rights and interests of national workers both within Egypt and abroad. It emphasizes that it will not hesitate to take all deterrent legal measures, in coordination with security agencies and relevant authorities, against anyone found promoting fake employment advertisements or engaging in overseas recruitment activities without a license, thereby safeguarding citizens’ rights and preserving their interests.
